Fall Season Starts Tonight

I’m excited about the new fall season.  There are some new shows I’m excited about and some old favorites that I can’t wait to see back.  I’ve rated each show based on my Anticipation Level (AL) 1-10.  Here are the shows I’ll be watching on Monday nights (MNF doesn’t count).

Heroes: AL-6

After a great first season, season 2 kind of fell flat.  Part of me wonders if they just didn’t have a great catch phrase like Season 1’s “Save The Cheerleader, Save The World.”  The whole Heroes versus Villains thing intrigues me.

Why isn’t the always entertaining Kristen Bell in this photo?

One last thing on Heroes.  Am I the only one upset that the girl that makes your eyes bleed before she kills you is coming back?

Big Bang Theory: AL-4

I watched this show for the first time this summer on-line.  It wasn’t great, but it was good.  It made me laugh from time to time, and some the writing can be very clever.  Not your average buddy comedy.  I’m going to give it a try this season.  I’s afraid that they may have jumped the shark by allowing the geek and the super-hot girl get together after only one season.  They could have worked that angle for a while.

Worst Week: AL-2

I’m not sure what to think about this one.  I’m half tempted to not watch it because after the always great Chuck starts next week it will mean 5 shows on Monday night, but I think I will give it a try tonight at least.  Don’t know much about it other than it is yet another one of those remakes of British shows, but the marketing has been good and the comercials funny, so we will see if it makes the cut.

How I Met Your Mother: AL-9

Anyone who’s read this blog or knows me knows I love this show.  I think it is one of the best sitcoms on Television today.  The only sitcoms that are better in my opinion are The Office and 30 Rock.  I’ve purposely not read anything not watch any comercials or exposed myself to anything that might give some hint about tonight’s episode or the upcoming season in general so that I might enjoy tonight that much more.

As I mentioned earlier Chuck, possibly my favorite new show from last year is also going to be an Monday night offering but doesn’t start until next week due to the Heroes premiere being 2 hours.  So nothing on Chuck until next week.
