I’ve never done this before…
I have never said a bad word about The Office before, and I don’t know that this will actually count as saying something bad about it, but Thursday night’s episode, “Business Ethics” just wasn’t on point. Other than Jim’s explanation of Battlestar Galacta to Andy I just didn’t think it was all that funny, and I can honestly say that I’ve never thought that about another single episode in the 4+ seasons it’s been on the air.
Moving away from this episode, I have a few questions and observations about the show in general. Are Michal and Holly the new Jim and Pam? 
I never realized that this was the Oscar nominated Amy Ryan before. Am I correct in saying that this is the second Oscar nominated actress to appear on The Office? I’m also wondering if bringing back Ryan as a temp is jumping the shark a little bit?
What did everyone think of Kath & Kim? I have to admit I was looking forward to this show a lot. The previews I saw always made me laugh. Molly Shannon is hilarious. They already had a hit show’s formula to follow. I don’t know why it shouldn’t work, but it just didn’t. Something about it just didn’t flow and it came across as a series of short skits instead of one cohesive show. I’m not giving up on it just yet, but I felt a little let down.
One correction to make. In a previous post talking about Kath & Kim I mistakenly said it was a British import, and I have been informed it is actually an Aussie import.
